Change and Update Passwords

You can update the service provider administrator password in various components in CA CSDP. After you update the service provider administrator password any of the devices mentioned in the following table, update the service provider administrator password in the components that require a password change.

Active Directory-You can change the password of the following components from Active Directory:

CA Service Catalog

Update CA Process Automation password in the following global datasets:

  • Project Austin, Austin
  • CA_Monitoring_Service_1.1
  • CA SDM
  • CA SLCM

 

CA Nimsoft Monitor

Update the password in CA Nimsoft Infrastructure Manager.

 

 

Update the password in the CA_Monitoring_Service_1.1 global dataset in CA Process Automation

 

CA Spectrum

After you change CA Spectrum password from AD, restart the CA Spectrum service from the CA Spectrum Control Panel. Ensure that you save the database before you restart.

Update CA Process Automation password in the following global datasets:

  • CA_Monitoring_Service_1.1
  • Project Austin, Austin
  • CA_Alarm_Service_1.0

 

CA Service Desk Manager

Restart the CA SDM system service.

 

 

Update the password in CA Service Catalog.

 

 

Update CA Process Automation password in the following global datasets:

  • Project Austin, Austin
  • CA_Monitoring_Service_1.1

 

 

Update the password in CA SDM configuration domain in CA Process Automation.

 

 

Update the CA Service Operations Insight password.

Update the SDK global dataset password in CA Process Automation.

 

 

Update CA Service Catalog password.

 

 

 

Windows NT-If you change the password of a system that has the following components installed, do the following:

CA Service Desk Manager

Update CA Process Automation password in the CA_Alarm_1.0 global dataset.

 

CA Spectrum

Restart the CA Spectrum process Daemon service.

Update CA Process Automation password in the following global datasets:

  • CA_Monitoring_Service_1.1
  • Project Austin, Austin

 

CA Process Automation

Restart the service after changing the password in PAM1 and PAM2.

 

 

Click Start, Administrative Tools, Services, CA Process Automation Orchestrator, right click, properties, Log on tab, provide the new password, click OK.

Right click and click Start.

 

 

Update CA Process Automation password in the following global datasets:

Update CA Process Automation password in the Project Austin, Austin global dataset.
