Change CA Process Automation Manager Password in Active Directory
Active Directory lets you change the service provider administrator CA Process Automation password.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the LDAP server.
- Navigate to Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Expand the host server directory.
- Select Users.

- Locate and right-click the service provider administrator CA Process Automation user name.
- Click Reset Password and update accordingly.
(Active Directory) Update CA Process Automation Password in CA SDM
After you change the service provider administrator CA Process Automation password in the Active Directory, update the password in CA SDM.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to CA Service Desk manager as an administrator.
- Click Administration.
- Expand the Options Manager folder and select CA IT PAM WorkFlow.
- Click on caextwf_ws_password in the options list section.
- Click Edit in the caextwf_ws_password update options window.
- Update the changed password in Option Value field.
The password is updated in CA Service Desk Manager.
(Active Directory) Update CA Process Automation Password in CDK Global Dataset
Update the service provider administrators CA Process Automation password in CDK global dataset.
Follow these steps:
- Select the CDK folder.
Note: If the folders list is too long, type Project Austin in the search field under Orchestrator.
- Right-click CDK_GlobalDataset and select Edit.
CDK_GlobalDataset content opens in a new window.
- Expand the PAM Configuration folder, select PAM_Admin_PWD.
- Update the Value field to change the password and click Save.
Password is updated in CDK global dataset.
(Active Directory) Update CA Process Automation Password in CA Service Catalog
Update the CA Process Automation service provider administrator password in CA Service Catalog.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to CA Service Catalog.
- Navigate to Administration, Configuration, CA Process Automation.
- Click the edit icon beside User Password.
- Update the password and click Update Configuration.
- Click Test and click OK.
The CA Process Automation service provider administrator password is updated in CA Service Catalog.
