Change CA Service Desk Manager Password in Windows NT

Update the administrator password of the Windows NT computer where you have installed CA Service Desk Manager.

Note: Perform these steps in both CA SDM1 and CA SDM2.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Windows system where CA SDM is configured as an administrator.
  2. Click Start, Windows Security, Change Password.
  3. Provide the old password and the new password.
  4. Confirm the new password.

    The CA SDM service provider administrator password is changed in Windows NT.

(Windows NT) Update CA SDM Password in CA_Alarm_1.0 Global Dataset

Update the service provider administrators CA SDM password in the CA Alarm Service global dataset in CA Process Automation.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CA Process Automation as an administrator.
  2. Click Library.
  3. Select the CA_Alarm Service_1.0 folder.

    Note: If the folders list is too long, type CA_Alarm Service_1.0 in the search field under Orchestrator.

  4. Right-click Global_Dataset and select Edit.

    The Global_Dataset content opens in a new window.

  5. Expand the SDM Configuration Folder and select SDM_Server_Password.
  6. Update the Value field to change the password and click Save.

    The service provider CA SDM password is updated in the CA Alarm Service Global Dataset.
