Creating a Contract from Scratch

You can create a new contract that is not related to any other entity (i.e. from scratch).

Contracts created from scratch are created with attachments that are designated as new contract default.

Follow these steps:

  1. In the Contracts page, click Add New and then select Contract. The Contract Details page opens.
  2. In the Contract Details-General tab:
  3. In the Contract Details-Notes tab, enter notes about the contract. For more information, see Notes Tab.
  4. In the Contract Details-Parameters tab, add contract-level parameters. For more information, see Parameters Tab.
  5. In the Contract Details-Timeslots tab, define a new timeslot for the contract. For more information, see Timeslots Tab.
  6. In the Contract Details-Audit Trail tab, view the contract audit trail. For more information, see Audit Trail Tab.
  7. In the Contract Details-Exceptions tab, add exceptions associated with the contract. For more information, see Exceptions Tab.
  8. In the Contract Details-Attachments tab, view or define attachments. For more information, see Attachments Tab.
  9. In the Contractual Section tab, add contractual metrics. For more information, see Creating Contractual Metrics.
  10. In the Financial Section:

    Note: The Penalties tab is only available if the system is configured to use penalties.

  11. In the Operational Section tab, add operational metrics. For more information, see Creating Operational Metrics.
  12. In the All Metrics tab, add metrics for the contract. For more information, see Creating Metrics.
  13. Click Commit to commit the selected version.
  14. If Workflow is enabled, click Request Approval to send a request for approval for the version. For more information, see Understanding Contract Statuses and Committing a Contract.
  15. Click Apply to save changes and stay in the current page.
  16. Click Save to save changes and return to the previous page.
  17. Click Cancel to discard changes and return to the previous page.
