Contract metrics and individual metrics are generally modified by user configurable parameters. Contract-level parameters are configured in the contract itself; metric-level parameters are configured for each metric individually.
Contract-level parameters are accessed from the Contract Details tab.
Metric-level parameters are accessed from the All Metrics tab and from the Business Logic tab.
To set up or to update a parameter value - go to the Parameter Structure Editor dialog box and edit the parameter options.
There are five basic types of parameters:
Metric-level parameters can be defined as static or dynamic parameters. A static parameter is a standard parameter defined solely within the scope of the metric. A dynamic parameter is a parameter that is defined in the metric, but which references a contract-level parameter.
Dynamic parameters can reference any type of contract level parameter, including a specific cell within a table. The type and value of the referencing parameter is that of the referenced type and value. For more information on Metric-level parameters, see Metric-level Parameters.
