Timeslots refer to a defined period of time during the week, the year or a combination of both. This enables the service provider to define different service level objectives for each timeslot. For example, a service provider might define weekly timeslots for weekdays, such as Mondays to Fridays, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and yearly timeslots for major holidays such as New Year's Day, when a different service level is required. A compound timeslot can then be defined to show only workdays, which are made up of the workdays defined in the weekly timeslot, excluding those workdays defined as holidays in the yearly timeslot.
A timeslot for a contract, service level template or metric can be defined from scratch, from another contract or from a timeslot template.
Timeslots can be changed for all metrics, whether they are committed or not.
