How to Upgrade from r4.x on Windows/JBoss

The upgrade process when you use JBoss on Windows typically involves the following steps:

  1. Uninstall the previous CA RCM server.
  2. (Optional) If you installed servers on an existing instance of JBoss, upgrade the CA RCM TMS Adapter Utility on that instance.
  3. Run the CA RCM installer for this version.
  4. Import Workpoint processes, overwriting older processes.
  5. Replace instances of the DM and DNA client applications.
  6. (Optional) Upgrade legacy campaigns.

Note: When CA RCM was implemented on a JBoss cluster, perform additional upgrade steps.
