How to Upgrade from r4.x on Windows/JBoss
The upgrade process when you use JBoss on Windows typically involves the following steps:
- Uninstall the previous CA RCM server.
- (Optional) If you installed servers on an existing instance of JBoss, upgrade the CA RCM TMS Adapter Utility on that instance.
- Run the CA RCM installer for this version.
- The installer updates CA RCM database schema.
- The installer creates updated versions of CA RCM server and JBoss.
- Import Workpoint processes, overwriting older processes.
- Replace instances of the DM and DNA client applications.
- (Optional) Upgrade legacy campaigns.
Note: When CA RCM was implemented on a JBoss cluster, perform additional upgrade steps.
