Use the Keyboard tab to specify special keys and key redirection. Special keys serve as a shortcuts for entering key sequences that would not usually be transmitted to the host because they would by trapped by Windows on the viewer computer for its own functions.
This tab contains the following fields:
Specifies a special key from the drop-down list. Valid values are as follows:
Selects and switches among active programs and applications.
Moves through the application windows in the order they were opened.
Displays the Start menu.
Clears and reselects an item on most systems, for example, My Computer, on the desktop. However, in Far Eastern language versions of Windows, for example, Simplified Chinese, this key sequence switches between the different entry modes of the Input Method Editor.
Note: Ctrl-Space is provided for applications that require it.
Specifies that this key combination is available to applications that require it.
Specifies that this key combination is available to applications that require it.
Displays the Task Manager.
Specifies that this key combination be sent to the host for programs that require it.
Uses the Windows Security dialog to do the following:
Note: You may now create a hot key that simulates Ctrl+Alt+Del, for example, Ctrl-Alt-Insert. For detailed information, see the Configure the Viewer Display and Control Options help topic.
Specifies the type of key redirection. Valid options are as follows:
Specifies that no key redirection be allowed.
Specifies that the right-hand Alt key labeled "Alt Gr" on some European keyboards function like a typical left Alt key.
Specifies that all special key sequences typed using the Alt, Ctrl, Shift and Windows keys on the right side of the keyboard be redirected to the remote host computer, while all key sequences typed using the same keys on the left side of the keyboard affect only the local computer.
This tab contains the following buttons:
Sends the Ctrl-Alt-Del key sequence to the host on all supported versions of Windows, telling Windows to suspend all processes while the user uses the Windows Task Manager.
Sends the specified key sequence to the host computer.
