Using the Eventlist Interface

This chapter describes how to use the Eventlist interface.

Note: Eventlist receives events in real time. Therefore, if an event occurs when Eventlist is not running, then Eventlist will not register that event. However, the event will be logged by Console Manager, and may be reviewed by extracting the event information. See the chapter 5 Using Console Manager From the Command Line Interface, or the chapter Using Console Manager From the C3 Interface for details of how to do this.

If there are certain events that require immediate action, then you can use the Mail action (see the chapter Supplied Action Routines) to send mail either to your account, or to other users. This does not rely on any user being logged in to Console Manager.
