Verify Deployment

After you deploy the appliances, verify that you can successfully log in to the deployed components. When you verify, be sure to:

• Access the URLs of the components from a system other than the host.
• Power on machines in the order you deployed them and listed in this section.
• Power on and verify the vApp for each component before advancing to the next.

Important! After you deploy each appliance, ensure the following points:

• Do not deploy the next OVF template until you are able to access (ping) the machines having a proper IP address.
• For each virtual machine that is deployed, it is a good practice to ping the machines by the hostname from an outside box. This practice ensures that each box was able to connect to the network and register with the DNS.
• For any virtual machine with a static IP address, run the ipconfig (Windows) to validate that the IP address was properly assigned.
• We recommend that you verify the appliances in the order you deployed them during the implementation process.
