Deploying Adapters
This section describes the workflow procedure of how to deploy adapters (from creating to running).
There are two options to deploy adapters.
To deploy an adapter (option 1):
- Create the adapter in the CA Business Service Insight user interface. For more information, see Adding Adapters and Adding Offline Adapters.
- Schedule the adapter in the CA Business Service Insight user interface. For more information, see Scheduling Adapters.
- Start the adapter in the CA Business Service Insight user interface. For more information, see Starting Adapters.
To deploy an adapter (option 2):
- Create the adapter in the CA Business Service Insight user interface. For more information, see Adding Adapters and Adding Offline Adapters.
- Download the configuration file in the CA Business Service Insight user interface. For more information, see Downloading a Configuration File.
- Add the adapter using the Adapter Manager utility in the Adapter server. For more information, see Adapter Manager.
- Replace the sample configuration file that was created by the Adapter Manager utility with the configuration file that was downloaded in step 2.
Note: Make sure to keep the name of the file that was created by the Adapter Manager utility as the name of the file after the replacement.
- Start the adapter in the CA Business Service Insight user interface. For more information, see Starting Adapters.
- Run the adapter executable by clicking the shortcut or by scheduling it using a third-party tool or by running a batch file created to run the adapter.
