Adding Offline Adapters

When creating Text File or SQL adapters, they can be set to be in an Online or Offline mode. The process of creating Online adapters is described in Add a Text File Adapter and Add a SQL Adapter. The process of creating Offline adapters differs from Online adapters in the following steps:

• General step, where mainly the connectivity tab is different
• Mapping step, where the output is not fixed as it is in Online mode

Offline adapters are always in an Inactive status. This status can be changed by setting the adapter to Online in the General tab of the General step. This however, entails editing the tabs within the General and Mapping steps.
