Upgrading CA Service Catalog

CA Service Catalog lets you create and maintain a catalog of IT services, for example, for hardware, software, or virtual resources. On each CA Service Catalog computer, you upgrade all product components:

When you upgrade CA Service Catalog, the product database is upgraded. The database upgrade automatically includes any required updates to the CA Management Database (MDB).

To upgrade CA Service Catalog, follow this process:

  1. Review the important considerations for upgrades.
  2. Meet the prerequisites for the upgrade.
  3. Prepare for the upgrade.
  4. Install or upgrade CA EEM.
  5. Run the upgrade program on all CA Service Catalog computers, in the specified sequence.

    This task includes updating the base files.

  6. Run the setup utility on all CA Service Catalog computers, in the specified sequence.

    This task Includes setting up the database, CA EEM, and the product components.

  7. Finalize the upgrade.
