AutoAssist Features to Simplify the Creation of System Images

The following AutoAssist features simplify the creation of the system image and resource definitions:

Express Setup Facility

The simplest way to create a local system image is to use the Express Setup Facility.

Auto Populate Facility

If the Express Setup Facility did not create all the required resource definitions, you can use the Auto Populate Facility to help you populate the local system image with those definitions.

You can also use the facility to populate a shared or a sysplex system image.

Resource Learning Feature

You may want to define a resource that is not supported by a template. You can use the resource learning feature to help you define such a resource.

The Express Setup and Auto Populate facilities use templates. You should ensure that the template system image in the OPSYSIDS parameter group is correct.
