How to Set Up the Change Management Process Definition

To set up the Change Management Process Definition, do the following:

  1. Use CA Workflow to review the documentation about activity nodes, Sub Activities, and notifications.
  2. Create the CAB and Implementation groups who are responsible for managing the change process.
  3. Create contacts and assign them to the CAB or Implementation groups.
  4. Configure email notifications for the Change Management Process Definition.
  5. If you are not using the default Tomcat server port 8090, configure the Tomcat server for the appropriate communications between CA Workflow and CA SDM.
  6. Configure one or more change categories to use the Change Management Process Definition.
  7. Install the Category Defaults option in Options Manager.
