Use the File Transfer tab to set up options for transferring files. From this tab you can choose how to confirm when transfers take place, filter files by date, enable or disable encryption, enable or disable the ability to overwrite or delete Read Only files, and enable or disable the ability to preserve attributes of transferred files.
To configure File Transfer options
The Viewer Properties dialog opens.
Transfers all files without any user confirmation if set to True. Existing files are overwritten with new files.
Default: False
Displays a standard confirmation dialog before overwriting any existing files.
Default: True
Displays a standard confirmation dialog before creating any files.
Default: False
Always displays a standard confirmation dialog before creating or overwriting any files.
Default: False
Transfers all files to the remote computer.
Default: True
Transfers only files with creation dates earlier than the destination if set to True. Select this option to transfer a file if the date of the source file is newer than the existing file in the target folder. If the source file is older than the destination file, or it does not exist at the destination, it is not transferred.
Default: False
Transfers only files that do not exist at the destination if set to True. If a file exists at the destination, it is not transferred even if the file is more recent.
Default: False
Transfers source files with dates that are newer than the existing file in the target folder or only files that do not exist at the destination folder.
Default: False
Encrypts files that are sent or received between the viewer and host session if set to True. This option only applies when the viewer's Encryption option is set to Off or Keyboard. When Encryption is set to Full, the result is the same as setting this option.
Default: False
Note: If the target host is operating in FIPS‑preferred or FIPS‑only mode, this option has no effect—the data is always encrypted using FIPS‑compliant cryptography.
Overwrites or deletes files, which are labeled with the Read Only attribute, on either the viewer or the host.
Default: False
Preserves file attributes, such as Read Only and Hidden, when sending or receiving files between the viewer and host.
Note: This option applies only to files and not directories. The attributes of existing directories will remain unchanged (but may gain the Archive attribute), and directories created by File Transfer will acquire default attributes.
Default: True
Displays otherwise hidden files and folders with the relevant drive list information.
Default: False
Your file transfer configuration options are saved.
