Docx Editor Guidelines

To design a template, you can insert tags into a new document you create or into an existing document.

When a button is clicked, it inserts one or more tags into the template.

Clicking on a button does one of the following:

• Inserts a simple tag into the document (when clicking on a field tag).
• Displays a dialog that enables complex tag insertion with additional information and multiple simple (field) tags.
• Displays a dialog for global template settings

Block tags generate as multi-line blocks. They cannot be inline within another paragraph text. Block tags include all complex tags, notes tags, and the tag named "table-parameter entire table".

You can remove a tag by selecting it and pressing the Delete key. You can select a tag and drag it to another place within the same template, but not to a different template. You can also copy and paste tags within a template, but not between templates.

TOC Generation

After you generate a booklet, you receive an MS prompt to generate the TOC automatically. Click Yes if you want the system to update the TOC automatically.

Note: Automatic TOC generation is the default. Refer to the Administration section for instructions how to change this feature to a manual update of the TOC.

Creating Booklets in RTF Format

When you define a contract or service offerings, rich text formatting capabilities can be applied to:

• Contract notes
• Contract template notes
• Service definition notes
• Metric notes
• Objective statement fields
