General Tab

In the General tab:

1. In Mode, select the Text File adapter type (Online or Offline). In Online mode the adapter connects to CA Business Service Insight, gets the translation tables and control command from CA Business Service Insight and send events, statues and translation requests to CA Business Service Insight. For information on Offline mode, see Adding Offline Adapters.
2. In Port, enter the port number of the adapter. This field is applicable only when Mode is set to Online.

   Note: The port number must be between 1024 and 49151.

   Note: Two Online adapters with the same adapter address and the same port cannot exist.

3. In the Regional settings details section, which describe the regional settings of the data source the adapter is interfacing with:
   1. In Decimal symbol, select the default decimal symbol (e.g. '.', ',' etc.) for real fields. This is the default decimal symbol for real fields in the adapter.
   2. In Digit grouping symbol, select the default digit grouping symbol (e.g. '.', ',' etc.) for integer and real fields. This is the default digit grouping symbol for integer and real fields in the adapter.
4. Click Save.

   The Adapter Wizard page General step opens.
