Edit an Adapter

Details of an adapter defined in CA Business Service Insight can be edited by pressing Edit button next to the adapter name. Any changes can be made to any of the steps by clicking the step on the step-tree pane. the changes are saved when Finish is clicked at any point in the five-step process.

Note: The details of an adapter can only be modified after the communication channel to that adapter is stopped.

To edit an adapter:

  1. In the Adapters page, if the adapter to be edited is not in Inactive status, click Stop Adapter (Icon) next to the adapter to stop the connection with CA Business Service Insight.
  2. Click Edit button next to the name of the adapter. The Adapter Details page is displayed for unmanaged adapters and the Adapter Wizard is displayed for managed adapters.
  3. Edit the fields and parameters as necessary. For more information, see Adding Text File Adapters, Adding SQL Adapters, Adding Offline Adapters and Adding Unmanaged Adapters.
  4. In the Adapters page, click Start Adapter (Icon) to restart the communication channel to the adapter.
