Verify Datasets in CA Process Automation

After you deploy the upgraded content pack, verify the data sets in CA Process Automation as described in this section.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the CA Process Automation client.
  2. Click Library, expand the CA ASC Citrix VDI folder, select Configuration, go to the Contents section.
  3. Right-click VSphereDataset and click Check out.
  4. Right-click VSphereDataset and click Edit.

    The VSphereDataset window opens.

  5. Expand all the folders under VSphere Connection Parameters and double-click the namedConnection folder.
  6. Verify that the Value field of namedConnection is as specified in the section Configure CA Process Automation VMware vSphere Connector.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Expand all the folders in the vCenter Parameters folder.
  9. Double-click and verify that the value in each of the following fields in the Parameters folder exists:
    dataCenter

    Defines the data center the virtual desktop belongs to.

    dataStore

    Defines the data store that the virtual desktop uses for provisioning.

    resourcePool

    Defines the resource pool where the virtual desktop is provisioned.

    hostName

    Defines the host name of the server where the virtual desktop is deployed.

  10. Click OK.
  11. Expand all the folders in the Host Connection Parameters folder.
  12. Double-click and verify that the values in the following fields exist:
    hostUserName

    Specify the Host Administrator User root.

    hostPassword

    Specify the Host Administrator User Password.

    hostUrl

    Specify the Host SDK URL.

  13. Click OK.
  14. Expand all the folders in the VD Templates folder.

    The list of all the templates that are supported to create a custom virtual desktop appears. For example, Windows7Enterprise32Bit, Windows7Enterprise64Bit.

  15. Verify the template values that you had selected in the section Configure CA Process Automation Datasets.

    Note: The template name is case-sensitive.

  16. Click Save and Close, click Check in, and then click OK.
  17. Close the data set.

    The data sets are verified.
