Set up Administrator Account, Map it to AWS Account

Set up an administrator group, associate the administrator groups to an AWS account to configure the service cartridge. Provide the AWS account administrative access to the services that is required to set up the sub accounts.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to CA Service Catalog.
  2. Navigate to Amazon Web Services, Administrator Services, Manage Master Accounts.
  3. Select the Master Account CA Embedded Entitlements Manager group to map as the master account.
  4. Type your AWS account details.

    This maps the master account to the AWS account.

  5. Expand Region and select a zone.
  6. Type the CA Process Automation Account Name for the selected Region.

    Note: Verify that the CA Process Automation account name must be the same as entered in the Configure the Connector section.

  7. Select the Key Pair Name from the drop-down, for the selected Region, and click Save.

    This step adds the Region to the Master Account.

  8. Repeat Steps 5-7 for each Region required.
  9. (Optional) To remove the previously set up regions, select the Region that you want to remove, click the minus (-) sign, click OK.
  10. Type the AWS Instance Quota information as follows:

    The quota for the account is set.

    Note: The Quota Tool provides administrators the ability to set usage limits which are based on the Master Account and the Sub Account settings. The quota defines the usage limits for instances, volumes, and snapshots and the maximum number of Instances that can run simultaneously.

  11. Type Account Description information.
  12. (Optional) Provide the proxy settings to access the Internet, if the CA Service Catalog server is not connected to the Internet.

    Note: The Proxy Settings must match the settings that are provided while configuring AWS Connector (see Configure the Connector section).

  13. Click Add to Cart and Check out.

    The Master Account is set up.
