Configure the Connector

You can configure the AWS Module properties from the Configuration Browser in the CA Process Automation Client. Properties that are set at the domain level are inherited unless they are overridden at lower levels.

To create one or more AWS accounts, use the AWS Module properties settings. The AWS Account name that is listed first is the default.

You can create all accounts at the domain level or you can add an AWS account at lower levels. Ownerships and memberships such as the following list require an account ID:

Follow these steps:

  1. Display the Configuration Browser, in CA Process Automation Client.
  2. Right-click one of the following components, and select Lock:
  3. Click Modules.
  4. Double-click the AWS Module (or click Edit).

    The module settings are displayed.

  5. Click Add Account. Add button

    The Account Information dialog opens with the Infrastructure As Service Modules Properties tab active.

  6. Specify the default settings for this module.
    Account Name

    Specifies the alias for the Amazon account. For example, AWS.

    EC2 End Point URL

    Specifies the URL used to connect to the Amazon site for Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).

    Elastic Load Balancing End Point URL

    Specifies the URL used to connect to the Amazon site for Elastic Load Balancing.

    CloudwatchEndPointURL

    Specifies the URL used to connect to the Amazon site for Amazon Cloudwatch.

    CloudFormationEndPointURL

    Specifies the URL used to connect to the Amazon site for Amazon Cloud Formation.

    SNSEndPointURL

    Specifies the URL used to connect to the Amazon site for Amazon SNS.

    IdentityManagementEndPointURL

    Specifies the URL used to connect to the Amazon site for Amazon Identity Management.

    awsAccessKey

    Specifies the Amazon Web Services Access Key.

    awsSecretKey

    Specifies the Amazon Web Services Secret Key.

    Public Key File

    Specifies the public key file on this host. For example:

    path\cert-publickeyfilename.pem.
    

    Click Browse aws--ButtonBrowse--ICO. Navigate to the public key file on this host and click Open.

    Private Key File

    Specifies the private key file on this host. For example:

    path\pk-privatekeyfilename.pem
    

    Click Browse, navigate to the private key file on this host, and click Open.

  7. (Optional) Provide the proxy settings to access the Internet, if the CA Process Automation server is not connected to the Internet.
    Proxy Host Name

    Specifies the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the proxy host for the Domain Orchestrator.

    Proxy Port

    Specifies the port on the proxy host. For example, 80.

    Proxy User Name

    Specifies the user name that is associated with the specified proxy host.

    Proxy Password

    Specifies the password that is associated with the Proxy User Name.

    Proxy Domain Name

    Specifies the domain name that is associated with the specified proxy user account credentials.

  8. Click OK, Apply, and Save.
  9. Repeat Steps 1-8, to add more accounts/ regions.

    The connector is configured.
