Start a Service

After configuring the scheduler, agent, web server, or the application server service, you must start the corresponding service for the configuration settings to take effect. On Windows, you can start these services using the Services - CA Workload Automation AE Administrator window.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, Programs, CA, Workload Automation AE, Administrator.

    The Instance - CA Workload Automation AE Administrator window opens.

  2. Select an instance from the Instance drop-down list in the Settings pane.
  3. Click the Services icon on the toolbar.

    The Services - CA Workload Automation AE Administrator window appears, displaying a list of services installed on the selected instance.

  4. Right-click the service and select Start.

    The selected service starts. The Status column indicates the status.

    Note: You can also start a service by selecting the service and clicking the Start Service icon on the toolbar.
