Run the migration on the VMTLIBR service virtual machine or a similar service virtual machine with ANYTAPE, TAPELIBR, and ALLOCATE authorization.
This migration procedure is a two-step process in which you first migrate the data on the physical tapes, then you update the TMC to reflect the change in media type. When the migration is complete, the reel tapes are no longer under CA VM:Tape control and can be archived in the event problems are later discovered.
