Managing Collectors in Microsoft Lync Environments

A collector is the component of a UC Monitor deployment that gathers call performance information and sends it to the management console for analysis and reporting. 

UC Monitor does not use the standard collector for monitoring a Microsoft Lync deployment. Instead, UC Monitor leverages data from a server in the Lync site that is configured as the Lync collector. In this scenario, the management console is the report recipient or report consumer.
