Delete a Collector

You can delete a collector in a distributed system. You cannot delete the collector for a standalone system.

Follow these steps:

1. Click Administration, Data Collection, Collectors in the navigation bar.

   The Collection Device List opens.

2. Select the device that you want to delete.
3. Click Delete.
4. Click Delete to confirm the deletion.

   The collection device is removed from the Collection Device List.

   The agent service stops running after you delete the collector. However, the agent communicator service on the collector continues to run. The agent service restarts when a management console contacts it. For example, the agent service restarts when you add the collector definition to another management console.
