Delete a Lync Collector

This procedure describes how to delete a Lync collector.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Administration, Data Collection, Collectors in the navigation bar.

    The Collection Device List opens.

  2. Select the Lync collector that you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Click Delete to confirm the deletion.

The Lync collector is removed from the Collection Device List.

The Microsoft server stops sending call quality reports to the report consumer and retains them its local server database.

Tip: The status of a deleted Lync collector can appear as “Configured" because call quality reports are retained in the local database. If calls are active, you can run a command on the management console server to confirm that the Microsoft server is not sending report files:

dir <install path>\voipmonitor\datafiles\q*.xml /s /b

If no files are returned from this directory command, the Lync collector was deleted successfully.
