Start or Stop the Scheduler

You can stop and start the Scheduler the following ways:

• From the Tools menu

  Select the Start Scheduler or Stop Scheduler options.

• From the Windows Client toolbar
  • Click the Start Scheduler icon.
• From within Microsoft Services (the Scheduler service only)
  • To start the service, locate and double click the CA SRM and CA Vantage Scheduler service. Change the startup type to Automatic and click Start.
  • To stop the service, locate and double click the CA SRM and CA Vantage Scheduler service. Change the startup type to Manual and click Stop.
• From Windows System Tray (Windows notification area)
  • Locate and right-click the Scheduler () icon. Select the Close option to stop the Scheduler application.
• From within the Schedule List
  • Click the Start Scheduler () icon to start Scheduler.
  • Click the Stop Scheduler () icon to stop Scheduler.

Note: For Open Systems, if the Application Server is located on a different computer than the Windows Client, you need to start the Scheduler on the Application Server machine.
