Configure the Scheduler Application to Run at Startup

By default, the Scheduler application does not start automatically on startup of Windows. Since the Scheduler is responsible for executing all scheduled tasks, we recommend that you configure the Scheduler application to start when Windows starts.

To automatically run the Scheduler application at startup

  1. Locate the SchedulerApplication.exe file in the following directory:
  2. Right click the file and select Create Shortcut.

A shortcut to the SchedulerApplication.exe is created in the Bin directory.

  3. Change the name of the shortcut to CA SRM and CA Vantage Scheduler.
  4. Copy the shortcut to the appropriate directory.

The Scheduler application is configured to run at startup.

Note: Appropriate host connection user IDs and passwords must be included in the Host Definitions for the scheduled tasks to perform.
