Disable an Action

You can disable both custom and predefined actions in rules. For example, in the same rule, you can enable one action and disable another action in response to a change in requirements or policy. Similarly, if you do not want to use the action that is enabled by default, you can disable it.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select Administration, Tools, Events-Rules-Actions.

    The Event Types page appears.

  2. Click the event that contains the rule and action of interest.

The Event Type Details page appears.

  3. Click the Edit icon for the rule that contains the action that you want to disable.

    The Rule Details page appears.

  4. Select the action you want to disable in the Actions list.
  5. Click Disabled.

    The action is disabled.

You have disabled the action.
