Enable an Action

You can enable actions in rules when you are ready to use the actions. You can enable both custom and predefined actions. For example, in the same rule, you can enable one action and disable another action in response to a change in requirements or policy. Similarly, if you want to use an action that is disabled by default, you can enable it.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select Administration, Events-Rules-Actions.

    The Event Types page appears.

  2. Click the event that contains the rule and action of interest.

    The Event Type Details page appears.

  3. Click the Edit icon (Pencil) for the rule that contains the action that you want to enable.

    The Edit Rule Details page appears.

  4. Select the action you want to enable in the Actions list.
  5. Click Enabled.

You have enabled the action.
