How to Upgrade from r12.0 on AIX/WebSphere

The upgrade process when you use WebSphere on AIX typically involves the following steps:

1. Run the CA RCM installer for this version on a Windows computer.
   • The installer updates CA RCM database schema.
   • The installer creates updated .ear files.
2. Uninstall previous versions of the CA RCM server and BIRT reporting utility on WebSphere.
3. Install the new version of CA RCM server on WebSphere using the new .ear file, and map the CA RCM application to the existing server cluster.
4. Install the new version of the BIRT reporting utility on WebSphere using the new .ear file.
5. Install and configure the Ticket Management Service in the Workpoint cluster.
6. Import Workpoint processes, overwriting older processes.
7. Replace instances of the DM and DNA client applications.
8. (Optional) Upgrade legacy campaigns.
