Install BIRT Reporting Tools on WebSphere

Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools (BIRT) is an Eclipse open source package used for report generation.

To install BIRT reporting tools on WebSphere

1. Browse to the following directory of the Windows computer on which you ran the CA RCM installer:

   RCM_install\Server\eurekify_websphere\
   

   Note: RCM_install is the CA RCM installation directory.

2. Copy the BIRT viewer.ear file from this directory to the WebSphere Application Server.
3. Install the viewer.ear file on the WebSphere Application Server. Select the Prompt only when additional information is required option.
4. In the module management dialog, select the CA RCM cluster and web servers, and map the application to the CA RCM Web Application.
5. In the WebSphere Application Server administration console, click Applications, Enterprise Applications. Click the Reports application and select Class loading and update detection. Assign the following values:
   • Polling interval for updated files: 0
   • Class loader order: Classes loaded with application class loader first
   • WAR class loader policy: Single class loader for application
6. From the administration console, start the viewer/reports application (Applications, Enterprise Applications).
