Upgrade Legacy Campaigns

Certification campaigns that you created using earlier releases of CA RCM are incompatible with this release. Use this procedure to upgrade campaigns created using 4.x releases of CA RCM, and release 12.0, 12.5, or 12.5 SP1.

When you upgrade a campaign, CA RCM extracts the data from the old campaign and creates a campaign with the extracted data. You can use all the campaign management tools of this release with the new campaign.

To upgrade campaigns from earlier versions

  1. Perform an upgrade installation of CA RCM. Specify existing CA RCM databases when you install.

CA RCM upgrades database schemas during installation and identifies legacy campaigns in the database.

  2. Click Administration, Campaign Administration, Upgrade Legacy Campaigns from the main menu of the CA RCM portal.

The Upgrade Legacy Campaigns screen appears. The table lists legacy campaigns in the database.

  3. Click the checkboxes corresponding to the legacy campaigns you want to upgrade.
  4. Click Upgrade.

The selected campaigns are converted into new campaigns. A table at the bottom of the screen shows the progress of the update process.

The converted campaigns are available in all screens of the portal.

  5. (Optional) Use the purge utility (Administration, Settings, Purge Data) to delete the legacy version of the upgraded campaigns.
