Get Started with CA Anomaly Detector

To get started with CA Anomaly Detector 9.1.3, complete the following tasks:

  1. If you are upgrading, verify that the existing software version is supported for upgrade: Software Compatibility
  2. Verify that the installation server has a supported operating system: Operating System
  3. (Recommended) Verify that the installation server meets the recommended hardware specifications: Hardware Specifications.
  4. Verify that the installation server meets the prerequisites: Installation and Upgrade Prerequisites.
  5. Install or upgrade to version 9.1.3 of CA Anomaly Detector and CA Network Flow Analysis:
  6. Install CA NetQoS Performance Center version 6.1.194 in your environment, if it is not already present, as described in the CA NetQoS Performance Center Installation Guide.
  7. Configure the firewalls.
  8. Add CA Anomaly Detector as a data source in the CA NetQoS Performance Center Console: Register with CA NetQoS Performance Center.
  9. Add CA Network Flow Analysis as a monitored product for CA Anomaly Detector. Optionally, add more products to monitor: Add Products for CA Anomaly Detector to Monitor.
  10. Enable the monitored products so they supply data to CA Anomaly Detector: Enable the Monitored Products.
  11. (Optional) Review the sensor configurations and make any necessary changes: Configure the Sensors.
  12. (Optional) Configure targets for alerts, so that Syslog or SNMP trap messages are sent when alerts are triggered: Configure Alert Targets.
