Set Up the CCS Computer for Exchange 2007

If CCS is installed on a 64-bit computer, Agentless mode requires an extra Windows service. If CCS is installed on a computer running 32-bit Windows, you can skip step 2 in this procedure because the service is not required.

Follow these steps:

1. Ensure that the following Microsoft tools are installed on the CCS computer:
   1. Microsoft Windows PowerShell
   2. Microsoft .NET Framework
   3. Microsoft Exchange 2007 Management Tools, for 32-bit or 64-bit Windows. This package includes Exchange Management Shell.
2. (64-bit Windows only) Install the Windows service CA IdentityMinder - Exchange 2007 Mailbox Management Service on the CCS computer:
   1. Open a command window and change directory to the IMPS bin folder.
   2. Install the service using the following command:

      C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\InstallUtil.exe .\E2K7WinService.exe
      

      Note: To uninstall this service, run the following command:

      C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v2.0.50727\InstallUtil.exe /u .\E2K7WinService.exe
      

3. Set a value for the ADS_AGENTLESS_MODE environment variable:

   Set the connector to be agentless for Exchange 2007.

   Set the connector to be agentless for mixed environments with both Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010.
