Remote Control provides a Windows Explorer-like navigational tool that lets users traverse the contents of a drive or directory for the local or remote computer. The File Transfer feature supports options for filtering files that already exist for a more current file being transferred. It also provides notification and confirmation by the user when conditions are met. File Transfer supports multiple sessions, renaming of files and directories, and the creation and deletion of files and directories.
The File Transfer feature lets you copy and paste single and multiple files or groups of files from different locations on the local computer by dragging-and-dropping the files directly on the drive. You can also use the Cut, Copy, and Paste context menu commands or the Remote Control toolbar.
Note: If you try to transfer a folder from the viewer to a host, the transfer fails with the error “No such file or directory.” Single and multiple file copies are not affected by this problem, only the transfer of directory trees.
The maximum bandwidth used in transferring files can be requested by the viewer computer to ensure the most efficient use of available bandwidth.
Note: See the Remote Control Host Help for information about enabling the File Transfer feature.
