There are multiple ways to end a remote control session.
To end a session quickly and easily
Computers currently connected appear in a list under the My Sessions tree node and in the My Sessions pane.
Specifies that the current session should be disconnected. (Invokes a standard Disconnect confirmation dialog.)
If the operating system supports locking the workstation or desktop, specifies that the current session should be disconnected and the host computer be locked. (Invokes a standard Disconnect confirmation dialog.)
Linux: The disconnect and lock actions will only lock the operating systems that support this feature. For example, in the GNOME GUI environment on Linux, it is not possible to lock the desktop of a root user.
Specifies that the current session should be disconnected and that the current user on the host be logged off. (Invokes the Logoff confirmation dialog.)
Specifies that the current session should be disconnected and that the host computer be restarted. (Invokes the Reboot confirmation dialog.)
Alternatively, click the Down Arrow button to the right of the Disconnect toolbar button, and then click a disconnect option: Disconnect (that is, Normal), Disconnect and Lock, Disconnect and Log Off, or Disconnect and Reboot. Disconnect (Normal) is the default when you click only the Disconnect toolbar button.
In each case, the appropriate disconnect confirmation dialog appears.
The remote control session is ended according to the disconnect option selected.
Note: For the Disconnect and Log Off and Disconnect and Reboot options, a countdown dialog appears after clicking Yes in the Logoff/Reboot confirmation dialog. The timer is set to 30 seconds by default. Once the countdown is completed, the logoff or reboot is initiated and the session is actually disconnected when the logoff or reboot, respectively, is completed.
