Search for a File in the File Explorer

Use the File Search dialog to search for a file or a specific pattern of files in the File Explorer. You can search for a file based on the name and location, modified date, and file size.

To search for a file in the File Explorer

  1. Navigate to Domain, Computer and Users, Computer, Software, File Explorer.

    The File Explorer pane appears.

  2. Click File Search in the Task area.

    The File Search dialog appears.

  3. Enter appropriate information in the following tabs depending on your search criteria:
  4. After specifying the information, click Find Now to start the search.

    Note: You can click the Stop button to stop a running search.

    The search results are displayed.

If you want to clear the current search options and results, click New Search and specify the new search criteria. You can also export your search results to a CSV file by clicking the Export button.
