How to Implement CA SAM with CA APM

Perform the following steps to implement CA SAM with CA APM:

1. Review the prerequisites.
2. Verify the Internet Information Services Installation.
3. Install the CA SAM Import and Export Service.
4. Configure the CA SAM Import and Export Service.
5. Schedule the Windows task for the Hardware Import.
6. Start the CA APM Event Service.
7. Enable the software asset management capabilities.
8. Load CA APM data into CA SAM.

Note: To implement CA SAM, you also need to download the latest version of the CA SAM Catalog from CA Support Online and apply the Catalog in CA SAM.
