Events Generated by Console Manager

The default set of events are the Console Manager class of events. These events are generated by the Console Manager software, and not by a serviced system's console. They are shown in the following table.

Meaning

CMgr Connect

A user has connected to a console.

CMgr Unlock

A user has unlocked a console.

CMgr Disconnect

A user has disconnected from a console.

CMgr Console NOT Found

A connection could not be established between Console Manager and the console for the serviced system.

CMgr Console Lost

CMgr Console Lost Disabled

CMgr Reconfigure Started

Console Manager reconfiguration has started.

CMgr Reconfigure Failed

Console Manager reconfiguration has failed.

For Console Manager events, the Event Text and Information attributes contain further information about the event. The Console Manager software completes this information when the event occurs, rather than being extracted from the database. For example, CMgr Connect contains information about the user who has connected to the serviced systems.

A copy of the default set of Console Manager events supplied with Console Manager is in:

CONSOLE$TEMPLATES: CONSOLE$CONFIG.PORT

You must add your own events to the database to let Console Manager scan for specific messages:
