(Application) Update Spectrum Password in SOI from SOI Related Configuration Files

You can also change CA Spectrum password in SOI from the SOI related configuration files. To change the Spectrum password in SOI from the configuration files you must first encrypt the password.

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to the computer that has SOI installed.
2. Go to SOI_Home, Tools, EncryptSAMCreds.bat
3. Open the command prompt, enter EncryptSAMCreds.bat <password>

   The command generates the encrypted password.

4. Copy and save the encrypted password in a notepad.
5. Go to the following path:

   \SOI\resources\Configurations\ Spectrumxxx.xml configuration file

   The list of XML files that are related to the Spectrum connectors are listed.

6. Open the XML files that begin with spectrum as a txt file.
7. Replace the password value with the newly generated encrypted password.
8. Click File and select Save.
9. Restart the following CA SOI services, go to Administrative tools, Services:
   • CA SAM Event Management
   • CA SAM Integration Services
   • CA SAM Application Server
   • CA SAM Store Indexer
   • CA SAM User Interface Server
   • CA UCF Broker .

   If all the connectors turn green in the Administration Pages section, the password change is successful.
