Modify CA Spectrum Rules for Sysedge Events and Alarms
In this procedure, you modify how CA Spectrum handles Sysedge events and alarms.
- Copy SRM.Test.evd to the EventDisp file.
- Navigate to the SRM.Test directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
- Open the SRM.Test.evd file in a text editor.
- Select all the contents and copy them to the clipboard.
- Close SRM.Test.evd.
- Navigate to custom\Events in the Spectrum root directory.
- Open the EventDisp file in a text editor.
- Go to a new line at the bottom of the file and paste the copied contents of the SRM.Test.evd file.
- Save and close the EventDisp file.
- Copy SRM.Test.amp to the AlertMap file.
- Navigate to the SRM.Test directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
- Open the SRM.Test.amp file in an editor.
- Select all the contents and copy them to the clipboard.
- Close SRM.Test.amp.
- Navigate to custom/Events in the Spectrum root directory.
- Open the AlertMap file in an editor. If one does not exist, create it.
- Go to a new line at the bottom of the file and paste the copied contents of the SRM.Test.amp file.
- Save and close the AlertMap file.
- Copy SysEDGE5.APP.evd to the EventDisp file.
- Navigate to the SystemEdge directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
- Open the SysEDGE5.APP.evd file in an editor.
- Select all the contents and copy them to the clipboard.
- Close SysEDGE5.APP.evd.
- Navigate to the Spectrum root directory from B11.1 Spectrum MLS Installation Worksheet.
- Navigate to custom/Events.
- Open the EventDisp file in an editor.
- Go to a new line at the bottom of the file and paste the copied contents of the SysEDGE5.APP.evd file.
- Save and close the EventDisp file.
- Copy SysEDGE5.APP.amp to the AlertMap file
- Navigate to the SystemEdge directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
- Open the SysEDGE5.APP.amp file in a text editor.
- Select all the contents and copy them to the clipboard.
- Close SysEDGE5.APP.amp.
- Navigate to custom\Events in the Spectrum root directory.
- Open the AlertMap file in a text editor.
- Go to a new line at the bottom of the file and paste the copied contents of the SysEDGE5.APP.amp file.
- Save and close the AlertMap file.
- Comment out existing event definitions.
- Navigate to the Spectrum root directory.
- Navigate to SS\CsVendor\Ctron_Gen_HOST\Host_systemEDGE.
- Select and copy the EventDisp file.
- Paste the EventDisp file, in the same folder.
- Rename the copy to EventDisp.orig.
- Open EventDisp in a text editor.
- Find the line 0x116002f and put a hash and space at the start of the line. The line must be # 0x116002f.
- Save and close the EventDisp file.
- Remove existing severity maps.
- Navigate to the Spectrum root directory.
- Navigate to SS\CsVendor\Ctron_Gen_HOST\SeverityMap.
- Select the AggCurrState file and rename it to AggCurrState.old.
- Start a bash session.
- Click the Windows Start button.
- Search for enter bash -login.
- Change to the vnmsh directory under the Spectrum root directory.
- Enter the landscape handle for Spectrum MLS:
connect lh=handle
- Enter where handle is the landscape handle for Spectrum MLS.
update action=0x100a2 mh=handle
You have modified the CA Spectrum rules for Sysedge events and alarms.
You have loaded the CA Spectrum landscape content to the regional deployment.
