

Register the Monitoring Services › Regional Deployment
Regional Deployment
To add more devices and interfaces to the centrally deployed resources, add a regional deployment.
Note: If the VMs that are part of a regional deployment appliance are placed behind a Firewall, follow specific considerations for the servers.
- For the Spectrum server: See the chapter Communication Across Firewalls in the Distributed SpectroSERVER Environment, in the CA Spectrum Distributed SpectroSERVER Administrator Guide.
- For the Nimsoft server: See the chapter Working with Firewalls and DMZs, in the CA Nimsoft Server Installation Guide, Release 6.50. The information helps you to set up the connection between the regional Hub and the central Hub.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the service portal.
- Click Requests, Service Administration, Run Book Automation, CA_Monitoring Service_1.1, Deploy Monitoring Service - Regional.
By default, the Deploy Monitoring Service-Central form opens with the Automatic Deployment check box as enabled.
Note: This release of Monitoring Services supports only manual deployment.
- Clear the Automatic Deployment check box, to enable manual deployment.
- Complete the remaining form fields, and click Submit.
You have now deployed the service. You receive an email that describes the type of deployment that is requested. The email contains a link that directs you to CA Process Automation to complete the task.
