Add New Event and Alarm Format Files

Add new event and alarm format files to CA Spectrum to get notifications about the significant events that occur in your network.

Follow these steps:

1. Copy the CMDB.Synch CsEvFormat, and CsPCause folders to the custom folder.
   1. Navigate to the CMDB.Synch directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
   2. Select and copy the CsEvFormat and CsPCause folders.
   3. Navigate to custom/Events in the Spectrum root directory.
   4. Paste the CsEvFormat and CsPCause folders.

      Note: If you are prompted to merge the contents, click Yes.

2. Copy the SRM.Test CsEvFormat, and CsPCause folders to the custom folder.
   1. Navigate to the SRM.Test directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
   2. Select and copy the CsEvFormat and CsPCause folders.
   3. Navigate to custom/Events in the Spectrum root directory.
   4. Paste the CsEvFormat and CsPCause folders.

      Note: If you are prompted to merge the contents, click Yes.

3. Copy the SystemEdge CsEvFormat, CsPCause, and Ctron_Gen_HOST folders to the custom folder.
   1. Navigate to the SystemEdge directory in the Spectrum Content Directory.
   2. Select and copy the CsEvFormat, CsPCause, and Ctron_Gen_HOST folders.
   3. Navigate to custom/Events in the Spectrum root directory.
   4. Paste the CsEvFormat, CsPCause, and Ctron_Gen_HOST folders.

      Note: If you are prompted to merge the contents, click Yes.

   You have added an event and alarm format files to CA Spectrum.
