Set the Connector Controls

Setting the connector controls in CA Service Operations Insight is the final step of the configuration. This process involves starting and stopping services with the CA Service Operations Insight application.

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to the CA Service Operations Insight application.
2. Select the Administration tab.
3. Expand the Administration link, in the menu on the left.
4. Expand the Connector Configuration link.
5. Expand the SOI Host Name link.
6. Click the CA Spectrum Connector name.
7. Select the following check boxes on the right pane:
   • dns_resolution
   • getCIsAtStartUp
   • getRelationshipsAtStartup
   • isRemotable
   • performDeltaProcessing
   • useAlertFilter
   • useServiceFilter
8. Click Save, and after the Connector Status states online, click Start.
9. Log in to the CA Service Operations Insight server.
10. Open the Services window.
11. Stop the following services:
    • CA SAM Integration Services
    • CA SAM Event Management
12. Start the following services:
    • CA SAM Integration Services
    • CA SAM Event Management

    You have successfully set the CA Service Operations Insight connector controls.
