Deploy OVF Templates

After you install the OVF Tool, complete the request form that captures the details for deploying the OVF templates for the monitoring service deployment. This section describes how you deploy the OVF templates.

Follow these steps:

1. Log in to the service portal with administrator credentials.

   The home page opens.

2. Click Requests.

   A new page opens with the list of services.

3. Click Register Services under Service Administration.

   A new page opens with the list of services to register.

4. Click Monitoring Service and click Deploy Monitoring Service-Central.

   By default, the form opens with the Automatic Deployment option.

   Important! The Deploy Monitoring Service-Central is a one-time task. The system does not allow you to redeploy the service.

5. Complete the details in the form and click Submit to deploy the OVF templates automatically.

   The predefined Manage Service Offerings (MSO) workflow starts automatically. The process instantiates, configures, activates, and tests the monitoring components and emails you the operation results. The system deploys the templates to the central location. You are notified that the monitoring service offering is available to be offered.

   The deployment of monitoring service cartridge is complete now.
