Upgrade from Previous Versions

This section describes the steps required to upgrade from previous versions of CA Business Service Insight.

You can upgrade from these versions:

The upgrade file recognizes which server is running the program and updates the necessary files.

Important:

Upgrading must be performed on the application server that contains the Alerts service first and only afterwards on all other servers.
The migration script automatically runs on the application server that includes the Alerts service.
We recommend printing the section Upgrade Dialog Boxes and Configurations before the installation.
If you are upgrading to a multi-server environment, perform the upgrade process on the application server and then perform it on the web server. The database migration is performed automatically when the application server is upgraded.
