Upgrade from Previous Versions
This section describes the steps required to upgrade from previous versions of CA Business Service Insight.
You can upgrade from these versions:
- 7.0 SP1
- 8.0
- 8.0.110
- 8.1
- 8.1.1
The upgrade file recognizes which server is running the program and updates the necessary files.
Important:
- Upgrading must be performed on the application server that contains the Alerts service first and only afterwards on all other servers.
- The migration script automatically runs on the application server that includes the Alerts service.
- We recommend printing the section Upgrade Dialog Boxes and Configurations before the installation.
- If you are upgrading to a multi-server environment, perform the upgrade process on the application server and then perform it on the web server. The database migration is performed automatically when the application server is upgraded.
