Add Compound Fields

You can add compound fields when you add an input field to the Input table.

To add compound fields

  1. On the Input toolbar, click Add Compound Field button to open the Add Compound Field window.
  2. In Name, type a name for this field, to be referred to by other elements.
  3. In Type, select the data type of the field (String, Integer, Real or Time).
  4. In Advanced settings, click Expand icon to expand the panel. Select the
    1. In Time Format, specify date and time format following which the field is parsed.

      Default value

      Select value - Select from the drop-down list of existing time formats or click Add new time format to create a new format.

    Note: This attribute is enabled when Type is set to Time.

    1. In Digit grouping symbol, specify the digit grouping symbol for integer and real fields.

      Default value

      Select value - Type a symbol value in the box.

    Note: This attribute is enabled when Type is set to Integer or Real.

    1. In Decimal symbol, specify the decimal symbol for real fields.

      Default value

      Select value - Type a symbol value in the box.

    Note: This attribute is enabled when Type is set to Real.

  5. Click Add compound segment to create a compound segment.
    1. Fill in the columns as follows:
    1. Click Cancel button to cancel the operation and return to the Input field details page —or—
    2. Click Update button to update. The Add Compound Field window is displayed showing the added segment.
  6. If necessary, repeat step 5 to add more compound segments.

    Note: The order of the segments can be changed by clicking Move Up button or Move Down button.

  7. Click Delete button to delete the field unless it is used by another entity. In this case, the entity must be deleted first.
  8. Click Edit button to edit the field.
  9. Click OK. The Mapping step is displayed showing the added field.
  10. If necessary, click Add Compound Field button and repeat steps 1-6 to add more compound fields.
  11. Click Delete input field button to delete the field.
  12. Click Edit Compound Field button to edit the field.
