Creating a contract involves defining the services to be included in the contract, the effective dates, the time zone and the currency of the contract fee. Contracts are created in the Contracts page.
A contract can be created from scratch, contract templates, service level templates or existing contracts.
Creating a contract from a template allows you to create a new contract based on a complete contract template inheriting the properties from the contract template and avoiding entering the same information over again.
Creating a contract from a service level template allows you to select individual metrics from a service level template or multiple service level templates as a basis for the new contract. For more information, see Contract Templates, Service Level Templates.
An approval workflow process may be enforced to monitor the contract creation process. Your system administrator defines the contract preferences, such as which fields are displayed when creating a new contract and which default values are displayed.
